This is one of the few times that Jane is actively helping with a raid instead of providing backup support from somewhere inside the building or through the network. It’s useful, being an insider, though she knows there are some members of the resistance who question her loyalties. She had to make a deal that makes her grind her teeth a lot, but at least she only betrayed herself. At least this won’t blow her cover. Should something go wrong, she could easily say that the people closest to her were surrendering, which would buy them time to smuggle them out later.
She was such a loyal member of the government, after all.
“Hang in there,” she murmured quietly to Logan, sensing that he was growing agitated. It wasn’t hard to see the signs. “The movies always have raids happen during the changing of the guard, but that is the worst time to do these things.”
Twice as many guards around. Who ever thought that was a good idea?
