Logan knows the City has other mutants in it. Back in his day they had enough in the City to start their own little home-away-from-home, rebuilding Xavier's dream all the way from the nameplate on the gates to the Danger Room nestled in the basement. Now, he's starting to think maybe things have changed.
He hears the claws before he sees them, in enough time to duck away from the wall before it comes down on top of him. What's revealed is about as much of a surprise as Logan is capable of getting these days. For a moment he looks at her, taking in her scent on his panting breaths, doing some quick mental calculations of size and build. She's not Laura, that much is obvious, but she's -- she's close. Too close.
"I don't mind the bullets," he offers eventually, feeling like he's ended up on the back foot somehow. He gestures at the still smouldering bits of wall. "What's with the light show?"
