[Eddie begins to wheeze as his hope disappears. The cuffs feel even tighter. He looks into the mask, for some sign of the person inside.]

I'm Eddie. [He answers quietly.] I really don't belong here. Can't you see that? [He manages to say in between wheezing.]

I need my inhaler.
