"Consider me a free man, Luther. As free as us guard dogs are ever comfortable being, anyway." He drains his drink and claps a hand on Luther's shoulder, leaning in to speak quietly.
"There's so much more to live for, Luther. I know you'll never leave, but I want you to know. There's much, much more."
