Yeah. Happy ratification day, you two.

[ He watches the teenager saunter off with the dog, the pair looking insufferably satisfied with themselves. It still feels like there's something he missed, an opportunity that flew right by him (or over his head). But Luther's careful enough to not stir up trouble, in public, on such a high-profile day as today, and he supposes it wasn't worth the risk of being wrong if he'd tried to call out the kid. Luther goes where they tell him, does the job they command him to do. He didn't have any orders to deal with this particular ambiguity.

So he goes back to his general tasks, to guarding the parade, to being ready for the next emergency.

It comes a short while later, panicked voices buzzing on his government walkie-talkie, a situation instigated by a certain reality-altering Antichrist at large — but of course the enforcer has no way of knowing that.
