Catchall for Archer
WHO: Apollo "Archer" Akagawa and YOU! Open to both Resistance and Government.
WHERE: Around the City
WHEN: Over the course of the event
WHAT: Archer seeks to align himself with the Resistance, though, which cell is sort of up in the air.
WARNINGS: Possible violence, possible abuse of psychic powers, and others to be posted in thread headers.
Around the city
He's long since dyed his hair black and taken to hoodies and other common clothes that can be used to conceal his identity. This isn't terribly different from his grunt days, back before they settled on a 'uniform', and even similar to his agent days where the rank was encouraged to go around in various disguises to get their work done. The work isn't even all that different.
It turns out that even organisations that claim to be working for the greater good need thieves and those who can take opponents off the field (be it for the short term or forever). Perhaps this is after contacting and becoming a part of a resistance group, or maybe this is one of the many tests that some might require before he can see someone important, but he has found that neither is he out of practice or in any way lost his spirit for the work.
If anything, the fact that he is being asked to stalk and distract trained targets and smuggle things through enemy territory has reminded him exactly why he loved the work.
At a Rebel Base
It took some time, but he finally found a way to contact a notable person in one of the many cells of the resistance. Perhaps this is the first one he's met, or perhaps this is one of many. He is trying to get an understanding of what the situation is, and whose goals would best align with his. Did he have to do loyalty tests to get this meeting? Was all he had to do was mention he recently came through the porter and perhaps shown proof? Maybe it was something else that lead to him meeting the individual.
Whatever it was, he was waiting with a face of perfect patience as the meeting time approached. He had done all he was supposed to do, and now it was time to leave things in the other person's court.
Wildcard
Archer can also be met in other parts of The City, of course. Spending time at the park, eating at diners, and sometimes just walking around on the city streets seemingly taking in the atmosphere with his hoodie back and acting like he belongs there.
[ You can hit me up on Plurk at GreyWays if you have something else in mind, too!
Also, if you could please check out Archer's permissions that would be appreciated! Thank you. ]

rebel base! miss congeniality right here
But they've been stretched pretty damn thin since the Porter decided to wake back up, and she's currently the best option this base has. So she wheels into the small, sound-proofed room set aside for this kind of thing, a tray of coffee and snacks on her lap. (He's out of luck if he prefers tea; she doesn't make it, not anymore.)
"Congratulations." Her voice is wry as she sets the tray on the table between them. "You won't recognise my voice, but you've heard it before. I'm Oracle." He'll know her as a ruthlessly efficient commander, with no hints of gender or age through the filter on her voice. "Nice moves on that last run, by the way." More brutal than strictly necessary, maybe, but she stopped caring about that a long time ago.
The meeting I didn't know I needed. Omg.
Archer had been genuinely impressed, even more so when he had received orders from her. It hadn't taken him long to come to the conclusion that if anyone wanted to find her, they would only succeed if she shared their want.
As someone who had a similar reputation within Rocket, though not so deserved as hers, he was quite pleased to have earned this meeting.
"As you know, I am Apollo Akagawa, a recent imPort."
RIGHT
It would take longer to meet someone like her, usually, but the new imPorts - they seem to be untouched by all of this. And, of course, she has no idea how long they'll stay.
Besides, if he turns out to be a spy after all, they'll deal with it.
"Were you drawn here from your own world?"
Re: RIGHT
He allowed himself a wry smile. "As far as I am aware it is quite unusual, if not unheard of, for individuals to be dragged to yet another world rather than returned to their own, so the current situation is quite unexpected."
no subject
Not knowing rankles.
"Have you recognised anyone here who didn't remember you?"
Archer does not approve of Niko's day job
Then, he shakes his head and splays his hands out before him in a gesture of helplessness. "Not as of yet. I have no doubt simply not ran into any who might have known me." There was then a pause. "However, I have no doubts that there is one such person. My ward. What I have seen of him, he is notably older, and has chosen an... exceptionally unwise career path." His once amicable expression turned fowl, a sneer transforming his face from traditionally appealing to cruel.
Wildcard
He's squatting in the park today though, cold, hungry, and still on the look out for any signs of Guzma in this place. Surprisingly he's dressed somewhat normal for once, bundled up in a normal jacket and wearing pants, but he's still recognizable to anyone familiar with Team Skull. His bandana was pulled down around his neck, but his beanie and gaudy necklace remained.
Of course he doesn't recognize Archer as he approaches him in the park, his eyes locked on to whatever food the other might have (hot dog, snacks? it doesn't matter), a scowl on his face. He knows he needs to keep a low profile, but fuck it. He's hungry and this guy looks like an easy enough target. He looks around once more just to make sure no one else was around before:]
Yo. I ain't gonna say this twice. Hand over the food and you won't get hurt.
no subject
Ah, it's you. Where is your boss?
[ This man was not getting Archer's wrap. He did however reason that Guzma and Tupp - that was the name on the 'missive' on the network when those beasts attacked - would be quite against this whole oppressive government thing.
He could always beat the ever-loving shit out of him after attempts at reason failed. ]

After a moment that is exactly too long of ‘lady doing math.gif’, he seems to notice his blunder and as a reflex he pulls his bandana back up.]
Shit, you know the Boss?! [wait.] I mean— Yo, I don’t know you like that homie. Who are you? And what’d I say about handing over the food!
[Yeah his stomach hasn’t forgotten about that wrap Archer has. As noticed by the growl of hunger it makes.]
no subject
Ah, so you aren't trying to find your boss? And here I was under the impression that you were loyal to him. It seems I was mistaken.
no subject
[It's probably of no surprise the taunt works as well as it does, his temper flaring at the comment to his loyalty. For someone who apparently was trying to keep a low profile, his voice sure is getting louder.]
Of course I'm loyal to the Boss! What're ya, stupid?! Yo! I've been lookin' for him since I got here, but I can't do that if I'm hungry now can I?!
Archer's opinions of himself are not reflections of the author's opinions. cuz he soooooo petty.
[ Archer was not a petty man, no, not by any sense, so naturally it did not seem at all to him as if treating Tupp as he was happened to be at all petty in nature. Because, of course, Archer was never petty, and always justified, and any who would say otherwise were not worth enough to understand. ]
its ok tupps too stupid to realize the pettiness
[He practically growls his response out all the while aggressively gesturing with his hands. In an extremely stupid move, he steps forward to close the gap between him and Archer and makes a quick swipe for Archer's wrap.]
Gimmie that!
Re: its ok tupps too stupid to realize the pettiness
And of course, he showed no mercy to the man trying to steal his lunch. To do so would be to encourage other riffraff to give it a try. ]
