Who: Armitage Hux, Bodhi Rook, and Luke Skywalker
Where Luke Skywalker's residence, in the poorer area of the city
What: Hux hunts down Luke Skywalker and then is executed by Bodhi
When: January 19th
Warnings: death
He had become good at his job here. Hunting down the Resistance was something he had plenty of experience with in his home galaxy and here was no exception. He was known for showing no mercy to those he hunted down and he had no regrets for doing what he had to do. The government had offered him power and freedom- he was more than happy to hold up his end of the bargain in return.
But it was one thing to hunt down miscellaneous rebels in the Resistance which made little impact but he had his eye on a bigger prize. No one had been able to find Luke Skywalker but he was determined to find him. He knew how dangerous Force users could be and he was determined to hunt Skywalker down.
It had taken him a while to track him to one of the poorer areas of the city. Of course, Skywalker would be hiding in a place like this. He hunted down every rumor, every lead that would bring him to Skywalker's doorstep eventually. He would take no chances, picking the lock to get into the house quietly. He knew if he didn't have the element of surprise, it was going to be a very difficult task to take him out.
He raised his gun as he ventured into the house silently, ready to take Skywalker out as soon as he saw him.

There just had to be one that was stupidly determined to hunt him down, however, and he sat there as he listened to the sound of the pick in the lock, debating on what to do. It was kind of funny, really; he could sense nothing of the Force in this person. That didn't really mean anything here, but it would be kind of amusing, to just let a normal person end him after everything that happened in his life.
As the person made their way into the house silently, the image of a young boy that had appeared one day before the porter went down came to his mind. He had been a bit dour back then, but bright and determined despite the inherent darkness within him, and Luke couldn't bring himself to just let his life end.
The door immediately slammed closed behind Hux as he crossed the threshold, the lock snapping loudly in the silence that followed.
"What do you think you're going to do with just a gun?" he asked softly, not looking up at Hux, his face hidden from immediate view thanks to the hood of his cloak.

"It never hurts to be prepared." He didn't trust his porter given powers but he wasn't going to play his hand just yet. He would only get one chance to use them before Skywalker had the chance to take him out.
"I'm well aware that it's unlikely that it will be useful but I like to have options," he said as he stepped closer to Luke, step by step. He couldn't be afraid, he had prepared for this moment for a while now.
"It took a bit of work to find where you were but you know why I'm here."

"And what do you hope to accomplish by killing someone that's just minding their own business?"

"Do you really think me so naive? I'm sure there will come a time when you would feel compelled to do something. Maybe out of the goodness of your heart or some nonsense like that. It's better to put you down before you cause any trouble." He stopped when he was only a couple of feet from Luke. The air around him was heated now as he gathered the power he needed.
"If you think I'm going to spare you out of pity or something, you're mistaken." This was his time to strike. He held out his free hand, summoning the ball of fire. He wished he had better control over it but he would just need brute force to in this case.

Bodhi had evaded capture, for the most part - the one instance he'd been broken out before he could be taken and made into a blank slate. He wasn't gonna let that happen to Luke, he wasn't gonna let them take him.
Cassian would be proud if he could see the once timid pilot. Or maybe he'd be horrified at how much he'd changed. Sabotage and destruction was easier to deliver than he'd ever believed back then.
Dressed in all darks, he crept around to the back of the building, listening to the conversation within. And when Hux -- of course, it was fucking Hux, wasn't it always -- summoned his fire, he drew his weapon and aimed.
Still remaining in the shadows, he took his shot -- right at the man's chest.

But he never had a chance to take the strike. He had been so focused on Luke in front of him. The shot hit him hard, the gun dropping from his hand and the fire instantly going out. His eyes went wide as he finally saw Bodhi there. Of course, there was another rebel here, he should have expected it.
His body crumbled to the floor, the heat around him fading.

He didn't really acknowledge it as Hux's body hit the floor, his gaze instead flicking toward the window, where he could sense Bodhi's presence lurking outside.
"At least you didn't spray blood everywhere this time," he commented dryly, standing up and brushing himself off.

"You're slipping, if he was able to find you so easily." There's no heat to those words; and he claps Luke's shoulder.
I'm glad you're alright...

"I suppose I am," he admitted softly, reaching up and resting a hand over Bodhi's. "And here I was starting to like this little hole in the wall."
